Jessica and I set a goal to make it into the Conference Center for each of the sessions this time. Somebody gave us tickets for the Saturday morning session, somebody gave Jessica a ticket for the Saturday afternoon session (I was translating for that one as well as for the Priesthood session), we got tickets from Jessica's dad for the Sunday morning session, and we went standby for the Sunday afternoon. We were sent to the little theater in the Conference Center for that one, but we were still in!

Waiting in line, in the cold. Just then, someone handed us tickets.

Woo hoo! We're in!
Translating went really well. I translated for Elder Pearson Saturday afternoon and did the closing prayer for that session, and then translated for President Monson's conducting and talk during Priesthood.

Me with my badge. Official.
Jessica's brother, Bradley, is serving in the Salt Lake City mission, Spanish speaking, so we were hoping that we would run into him. You would think that we would have had to search around forever to find him among the hordes of people, but coming out of the Saturday morning session, we ran into him in the hallway! We had a good chat, took some pictures and video (see below). Jessica ran into him again after the afternoon session (see below), and then we saw him again as we were in the standby line Sunday afternoon (again, see below)!
All in all, Conference was incredible, we felt the Spirit and are looking forward to applying everything we learned.
FIRST REUNION
Candid shot. Props to Jared, our photographer.

Elder Schleske, Bradley and Me
I have Elna's huge black coat on over my own coat. It saved me.
SECOND REUNION
Many of Bradley's previous companions.
I am pretty sure that the one with the scarf was his trainer.

Bradley and the ward mission leader in his last area.
Can you imagine? Ward mission leader at age 18?!?
He is preparing to go on a mission himself.
It was so fun to see Bradley interact with this young man.

Cool picture, eh?

That's where I found him; as I "happened" to walk by the reflection
pool where all of the missionaries meet between sessions.
THIRD REUNION
We were in the stand-by line when we saw them walking our way.

That's Elder Schleske eating Jared's sandwich. (Jared's not bitter about it...)

It was so fun to see them again.
They are an impressive companionship.
